The first ever Miss Kish blog

090629_MK_Blog

I will try and have as few exclamation marks and smiley faces as is possible.
Enjoy.

1. Miss Kish moves into new office space to 22A Liddiard St, Hawthorn.
We have a coffee machine, an A3 printer and we’re actually situated in what used to be old Hawthorn Bakery.
The brick is a gorgeous brown and there are real ovens downstairs.
Very, very exciting. Big ups to G – our printer lifter and all-round muscle man. Woo !

2. ANZ campaign on Bourke Street in the heart of Melbourne.
Framed mirrors – each frame attempts to generalise the personality type matched to it.
Not quite sure how I felt about it – the frame I liked didn’t match me at all.
But quite cool to see a bank with a display window.
Really made me think about the notions of retail stores having display windows to attract attention.
SELL SELL SELL !

3. M & I visit The Gauge in Docklands.
There is a stunning wooden wall – designed by Vashti Gonda.
Perpendicular there is a green wall – I’m wondering if its safe to say its inspired/designed by Patrick Blanc who did the one in Melbourne Central.

4. Last days in the office at home.
I trimmed my fringe and made my hair messier with an upside-down cut (don’t ask how!).
I’m wearing my favourite scarf by Miss Crabb with a sideways smile.

5. The last few days with M – my yellow shoed friend have been a bright blast.
I will miss miss miss her.
We found an amazing little restaurant in Dandenong called Afghan Tasty Food – 365 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong.
We ate poffages (mini Dutch pancakes) and injera (like a sourdough pancake she told me) at a multi cultural festival in Fitzroy.
We watched “I Love You Man” at the Lunar Drive In – fantastic !

In summary – I have had an awesome few weeks.
Do comment – speak up – and tell me where else to eat
